I have learned something through the passing of Dee and it is to not waste time. Not to let an opportunity to meaningfully connection pass me by. Denise Thomas you sat in the row behind me at church and I never got to know you beyond the "Hello, How are you?". When Dee asked you "How are you?" I believe in my heart that she genuinely cared to know. She had a genuineness about her, in her voice and eye contact and I wish I took the time to get to know her more. Today, I make a promise to make real connections and have real conversations with people I meet, and to make an effort to genuinely connect. Our current situation has shown me the frailty of life and just how much we take for granted and I pray that the Lord will help me to never go back to my old ways.
